Voice Of Martyrs (Poem)
Though you cast us into torture and take our lives
We will not renounce Him because in us His presence resides
He has saved us from darkness and from the power of death
We will praise His name breathing our last painful breath
Go on take our jobs, our money and our positions in society
Because we are empowered By Him with all sobriety
He took our place and endured the pain so we will endure this
His affection is upon us as we can feel His kiss
Save your breath, we will not give up our trust in His name
Because it is above all others so we will not profane
Though you may cut off our limbs or burn us with fire
We will never forsake or leave our Messiah
As the Apostles went before us so now we go gladly
While you torture and beat us badly, madly
You do not understand that your blows have no real power
His coming draws closer with every ticking of the hour
We will endure the labor camps and the famine that may come
Because we will do it gladly for our Father’s only Son
Who suffered far worse than we can ever imagine
Go ahead do your worse; our faith will not dampen
Take our lives because they are not ours anyway
They belong to Him, we gave them up on that day
Your threats have no validity, we are destined for glory
My treasure is in Heaven; this world has nothing for me
We are in His hands and clasped with His grip
Nothing can separate us from Him, so homey don’t trip
If we die at your hands it doesn’t matter, save your coercion
Because with our death Jesus will get more praise to His person
We will not renounce Him because in us His presence resides
He has saved us from darkness and from the power of death
We will praise His name breathing our last painful breath
Go on take our jobs, our money and our positions in society
Because we are empowered By Him with all sobriety
He took our place and endured the pain so we will endure this
His affection is upon us as we can feel His kiss
Save your breath, we will not give up our trust in His name
