Never Separated (Poem)

Yes, though I travel through the Valley of the Shadow of Death
I will fear nothing and praise you with every breath
I am yours, blood bought and paid for in full
I will trust in my Shepard and resist the pull
Of despair and fear because in Him I have victory
I will not allow the trial to set me back, my past is history
Before me lies Eternity and behind me hell
I have learned from the Spirit that no matter, I say it is well
Well in my soul because He feeds me and keeps me in His love
For He intercedes for me 24/7 from above
I do not fret at this present darkness because His light goes before
Me and makes a way so that my way is prepared with blessing in store
I hear His voice calling my name and I know I am safe in His grace
No matter what may try me, I am never separated from His face
For his eye is on the righteous and His ear attentive to their cries
For my Lover is closer than a brother, closer than I even realize
He is God, my Father, the one who daily provides
E’rthing is naked before Him, He sees all with His eyes
