Craving For His Fire (Poem)

As the bush was burning and did not burn
I desire to experience the flames of the Consuming Fire, I yearn
For You to set me ablaze in the depths of Your baptism
I know that Your word is truth beyond all realism
This World is jive, with all of its limited pleasures
I wanna be dunked deep into You beyond any measures
As John the Baptist was I wanna be bold for You
Not caring for this Society or what I may go through
I desire to be set ablaze like a human torch without any CGI
I pick up my Cross; Lord I am willing to daily die
This World System is jive, a poisonous beehive
Only in You will any one truly be alive
Lead me by Your Holy Spirit out to the Gethsemane
And help me to die to the sinfulness within me
I treasure You more than a 401 k or other investment
Because I long for Messiah to shoulder His Government
My trust is in You and not in any life that I could build
Make me a human torch and send me out into the field
I will burn for you and never look back cause You never did
Make me a Calderon of fire that is to hot for a lid
This is my hearts cry, this is what I desire
I cry from my deep within “God set me on FIRE!!!!”
