Heart's Cry (Poem)

Help me Lord where I am deficient
Help me to let go of the sins of the past being un-reminiscent
Lord Jesus endue me with power from your Spirit
Draw me nearer to your heart, I need to near it
I am weak and I desire to be strong
The fight continues and I need to battle on
Set me on fire like a human torch that I may light up my sphere
Let it be a wonder that will cause many to see and hear
Your voice coming from out of this vessel that is yours
Send me out to the streets, to the pimps and whores

I am on my knees in humble submission before God’s throne
Earth is my journey but with you is my home
My king enthroned in my heart and soon on David’s
If you don’t do it Lord I cannot make it
I am trying to be strong and keep my footing
But the fiery darts are flying and the enemy is shooting
I am confused and you are not the Lord of confusion
Heal me Balm of Gilead, fix this contusion
I cry out “Son Of David, have mercy on me!!!!!”
My heart is made strong because you hear clearly
